Then

First opened in 1956, The Burrard has a long and storied past. A few historians have even gone so far as to call it ‘retro-licious.’ Or at least we think they should.

In 1956, Elvis Presley had his first hit, people went crazy for non-stick frying pans and the fabulous “Burrard Motor Inn” opened its doors to the world. New owners planted the first garden courtyard in the late 1960s, while the Greenhouse Lounge hosted cocktail hour, extramarital affairs and swank wood panels from 1982-2006.

Now

Fast-forward to the present, and The Burrard’s been put through a massive renovation. With new rooms, new courtyard, new attitude – the works. But rest assured, we kept
our cool.

The new hotel mixes retro influences with modern design touches, slick in-room amenities and a refreshing dose of character. Our owners brought a whole new vibe to Vancouver’s hotel scene, and a whole new focus on guests. It’s like Melrose Place, only there’s no pool
to drown in.

If you’re traveling with a larger group, a Twin room should fit you all perfectly. Book one by yourself, and you can swap beds in the middle of the night. Weird.

With views of either the city or the garden courtyard, our Twin rooms are a perfect fit for friends, family or touring rockers with separation anxiety. Each room features two full-sized double beds, a full desk, mini fridge, nood chairs and many other amenities.

If you’re looking for a little more room to stretch out in, our Queen+ rooms might be just the thing. With space for an extra seating area, you’ll swear there’s an echo.

With oversized queen beds and either city or tropical courtyard views, the Queen+ is larger than our standard Queen rooms – adding a full seating area with chairs and a side table. All of our other amenities, including a full desk, come standard.

Room Rates

Even our prices are retro. So if you think you’ve found a better rate for the same room type, dates & inclusions just let us know at info@TheBurrard.com and we’ll match it.

24 Hour Cancellation Policy. Give us a full day’s notice if you need to cancel, or we’ll need to charge you for a night. Fair is fair, right?
Kids are expensive. Except at The Burrard. Kids under 12 stay for free, and cribs are available on request for only $15/night.
All Non-Refundable Rates are… non-refundable. Imagine that. Even if your pet Chinchilla is sick and you need to cancel your trip. So if you have questions about this, please ask before you book.

Extra Fees & Applicable Taxes

If all the freebies and other Features we offer aren’t enough for you, you can always have more. It’ll just cost a little more:

Parking is $20/night + tax. There’s plenty of free two-hour parking nearby, and plenty of people always looking for a spot. Trust us, you’ll be happier leaving your car here with us.
Having extra people in your room is fun. Also just, $30/night + tax.
No judgement.
Don’t like someone quite that much? Add a Cot to your room for $30/night + tax.
Yes, we’re cool with dogs in our hotel. Tigers? Not so much. Pets are $25/night each + taxes. Includes pet bed, bowls and a treat.
Applicable taxes include a Destination Marketing Fee, shown as "Hotel Tax" on all invoices, of 1.304%, Goods and Service Tax (GST) at 5.000% and Provincial Sales Tax (PST) at 10.000% which includes 8.000% PST and 2.000% Municipal and
Regional District Tax (MRDT).

Work or pleasure? Why choose? The Burrard is the perfect place to host your cocktail reception, business meeting, wedding event, dinner party, or whatever. Our event & catering staff will make sure your event is as unique and fun as the space. For ideas, just check out our tropical courtyard or Betty’s speakeasy backroom.
